​Internet of Things (IoT) &
Wireless Smart Metering 

We are strongly involved in the emerging Internet of Things (IoT) technologies and our Principal Consultant, Dr Boyd Murray,   has recently given several talks on IoT to various organisations - see our 'Events' section.  We know about SigFOX, LoRaWAN, NB-IoT, & other IoT wireless technologies & have solutions for wireless Smart Metering for electricity, gas, & water.  Feel free to contact us to discuss further.
 

Antenna Design/Review/Test 
We can meet your antenna design requirements for PCB (Printed Circuit Board) antennas such as those required for cellular & IoT applications as well as standalone antennas. Single-band, dual-band, and tri-band antennas for frequencies ranging from VHF (30-300MHz) up to X-Band (8-12GHz) can be designed per customer requirements by one of Murray Wireless's several antenna experts.  Existing antenna designs (e.g. IoT) can be modified for different frequencies and broad-band matching.  See our short antenna design video tutorial here.
 


​FPGA Firmware Design for Modems & DSP 
Our DSP design team is able to design FPGA firmware for high-speed digital modems for 3G, 4G, LTE, IoT, etc as well as other digital signal processing applications.  We have already done modems for QAM modulations and OFDM.  We did the first 4x4 MIMO modem in the world for Wi-Fi 802.11n.  
 

​RF/Microwave Circuit Design/Test 
We can meet your RF/microwave design requirements for frequencies ranging from VHF (30-300MHz) up to X-Band (8-12GHz).  Designs for LNAs, mixers, filters, PAs, etc can be done for standard FR4 PCBs as well as for higher-dielectric microwave substrates.  
 

​Digital Hardware Design &
​Digital/RF PCB Layout 

Our digital hardware designers are waiting to hear about your digital hardware requirements.  We do design, schematic capture, BOM generation, PCB layout, & can also arrange PCB production & component placement when required by our customers.  
 


Outdoor Cellular RF Planning/Deployment/Testing
Our Sydney-based RF Group  do outdoor cellular RF planning (coverage, capacity, interference, etc) for 2G/3G/4G cellular systems. The team uses industry-standard RF planning tools and is capable of using other RF planning tools as required by customers.  The RF Planning Group can also provide outdoor cellular full turn-key solutions which include site visit, RF design, equipment procurement, installation, & final test.  Site visits can be arranged for Sydney & other areas of Australia upon request. 
 
In-Building/Carpark RF Planning/Deployment/Testing
Our Sydney-based RF Planning Group do in-building & carpark RF indoor planning (coverage, capacity, interference, etc) for 2G/3G/4G cellular, Wi-Fi, & IoT systems. The team uses common industry-standard indoor planning tools.  The RF Planning Group can also provide indoor full turn-key solutions which include site visit, RF design, equipment procurement, installation, & final test.  Site visits can be arranged for Sydney & other areas of Australia upon request.

​Microwave Link Design 

Our Sydney RF Planning Group of 6 engineers & Brisbane RF Planning team of 10 engineers also do microwave link design using the Pathloss software design tool and can adapt to other tools as required.  Site visits can be arranged for some other areas of Australia upon request. The Sydney RF Planning team can be combined with the Brisbane team for very large or time-constrained jobs, 
 


​Systems Engineering & 
System Simulations

We design wireless systems from the highest level down to progressively lower levels as required by our customers.  
We also do complex system simulations using advanced tools such as Matlab & Simulink.  
 

​Cell-Site Safety Reviews
for Building Owners/Managers 

We provide independent evaluation of cell-site proposals by Telecommunications carriers (e.g. Telstra, Optus, Vodafone, etc) to building owners/administrators  (e.g. body-corporates, etc). We also oversee carrier-initiated tests for EME (Electro-Magnetic Environment) to ensure correct testing.  The test reports are then reviewed by us to ensure that all electromagnetic field strength measurements are within Australian standard safety limits.  Our client then receives a report from us indicating whether testing was done properly and safety limits were met.

Our senior project manager has over 30 years experience in project-managing, deploying, & commissioning major wireless systems per customer requirements.  See the 'Our People' tab for more details.  We are ready to assist you with your wireless project requirements.  
 
Legal Expert Witness 
Our principal consultant, Dr Boyd Murray, has  acted as a legal expert witness (in wireless technology) for law firms.  Extensive hands-on wireless industry experience combined with detailed knowledge of many wireless standards and wireless technologies has enabled Dr Murray to provide expert advice in legal cases leading to successful outcomes for clients.  Call us to get expert advice.  
 
Wireless Training Courses 
Our senior trainer, Dr Boyd Murray, has  previously presented 4-day training courses in cellular system design on behalf of Nokia Systems to Optus, Telstra, & Vodafone as well as doing training courses for AWA-Plessey in the design & deployment of microwave point-to-point links.  In addition to this, Dr Murray lectured & tutored in 'Signal Processing' and 'System Design' at Macquarie University for several years and also has given numerous talks (including Keynote Speeches) to various companies & organisations.  Murray Wireless can present pre-existing training courses as well as create & deliver new training course material per customer requirements.  Let us help you in your training requirements.
